(therapeutic) Shibari

Your body speaks to you throughout the day. A tightening in your chest, a deeper breath, the desire to come closer or the need for more space. Sometimes you notice these signals. Sometimes you move past them without realising.

Taking time to feel them can help you recognise what you need and what you want. This is where embodiment begins: being present in your body and allowing what you feel to be part of the choices you make.

Let's talk

Shibari is about

What happens inside that space is yours to discover.

.

Why Shibari

Shibari invites you to experience being wrapped, supported and held by rope. Its touch and pressure can bring your attention to your body, your breath and the moment you are in. You can take time to discover how it feels to be held.

For some, allowing another person to guide the experience brings relaxation. For others, it brings uncertainty, curiosity or the feeling of being vulnerable. Perhaps you notice both the desire to surrender and the part of you that wants to stay in control. All of this is welcome.

The SOMA approach guides how I work. I listen, stay present and pay attention to what happens for you. We talk about your wishes and boundaries before we begin and stay in contact throughout. You can ask for something different, pause or stop at any time.

Together, we explore at your pace.v

From the mind into the body

The texture of rope against your skin. The warmth of a hand. The sound of rope moving across the floor. You may begin to notice things that usually pass you by, or feel how your breathing changes as your body responds to touch.

Some moments may be gentle, others firmer, guided by what we have agreed and what feels right for you. As you settle into the experience, sensations can become clearer. You might feel pleasure, sadness, excitement or stillness. A memory may come up, or you may simply enjoy being there.

There is time to feel what happens without needing to explain it straight away. I stay with you, attentive to what you share and what you need. You are free to speak, move, pause or change direction.

A space for transformation

There can be something deeply relieving about allowing yourself to be supported. Letting your weight settle, taking a breath and feeling that, for a moment, you can stop holding everything together.

Perhaps you begin to soften. Perhaps you notice how difficult it is to receive that support. Both give us somewhere to begin.

A session can be quiet and meditative, with more room to feel your body and less attention on your thoughts. It can be intimate, emotional, playful or surprising. What you feel may change from one moment to the next.

For some, this feels like coming home to themselves. For you, it may be something different. The rope creates a way to explore, and there is space to discover what the experience means to you.

Shibari sessions

Rope is at the centre of these sessions. Being held, supported, restricted or, when agreed, suspended can bring you into contact with sensations and responses that are hard to put into words. Where it supports our work and with your consent, I may include touch, breath, movement or other forms of bodywork.

I bring a grounded presence and my full attention to what unfolds. You may meet surrender or resistance, pleasure or arousal, emotion or a memory. Sometimes what you notice is subtle. Sometimes something unexpected comes to the surface. We take time to meet it, with clear consent and respect for your boundaries.

Sessions last around 2.5 to 3 hours, giving us time to arrive, explore and reflect before you leave. Throughout the session, we stay in contact about how you feel and what you need. You can ask to adjust, pause or stop.

Through the rope, you can get to know more of yourself: what you feel, what you want, where your boundaries are and how you choose to react.

shibari

Is this for you?

Maybe you are curious about rope and want to experience how it feels. Maybe you long to explore your sensuality, feel more connected to your body or allow yourself to be held. Or you carry a lot in daily life and would like some space to rest and receive.
You do not need to know exactly what you are looking for. We can begin with your curiosity, including anything that feels unfamiliar or a little daunting.
If you would like to get a sense of whether this is for you, I offer a free 30-minute Zoom conversation. We can talk about what draws you to this work, make room for your questions and feel whether we would like to work together. There is no obligation to book a session.

Bound in the tender embrace of Shibari, we journey together through the realms of energies and transcendence, guided by the wisdom of Tantra.

Alot need to be in place before trust can happen

1 Choice

We begin by exploring what you want. I may offer suggestions drawn from my intuition and experience, and you decide what feels right for you.

2 Agreement

Together, we agree on clear boundaries, what the session will involve and what is off limits, with room to pause or change your mind at any point.

3 Consent

We only proceed with your clear, spoken consent to what we’ve agreed. Nothing is assumed, and you can change your mind at any time.

4 Checkin

I check in with you throughout the session to hear how you’re feeling and whether anything needs to change.

5 Change

You can make a change anytime you want.

6 precence

I stay present and attentive throughout the session, listening to you and responding with care to support your sense of safety.

7 Intergration

This time is needed so you can embody the experience and come back to yourself fully.

Tantra Shibari
The Loving Approach

A loving approach

Here we take time for tenderness, gentle touch and connection. To feel what happens when you allow someone close, when you receive attention or let yourself be seen.

There may be pleasure, joy or excitement. There may be sadness, shame or anger. Sometimes these feelings arrive together, and sometimes you need time before you know what you feel.

I meet you as you are, with warmth and without judgement. You do not have to open up before you are ready. Together we give room to what is present, following your pace and respecting your boundaries.

Somethings you can expect:

  • My hands caressing your skin
  • a stroke through the hair
  • Being held lovingly and fully
  • Tender slow movements
  • opening up the heart space

 Plays of Polarity

Exploring your edge

Softness and intensity. Tenderness and roughness. Surrender and resistance. Dominance and submission. Exploring polarity means getting to know how you respond to these different qualities and what happens as you move between them.
Through changes in touch, pace and sensation, a session may move from something slow and nurturing towards something more intense. We shape this together, within the boundaries we have agreed.
What draws you closer? What makes you hold back? Do you want more, something different, or have you had enough? There is room to feel your answer and express it, including when it changes.
Tenderness and intensity can both have a place in your experience. Your desires, your boundaries and your freedom to choose remain part of everything we do.

Some possibilities to explore, guided by your interests and explicit consent:

  • The contrast between gentle caresses and rough hands.

  • Hair pulling in your neck.

  • Close, intense physical contact.

  • Desires that feel raw, unfamiliar or difficult to express.

We agree on boundaries beforehand and check in as we go. You can change your mind at any point.

Frequently Asked Questions

What actually happens during a session?

A session can easily be 2 – 2,5 hours. You need time to to arrive, be present experience and intergrate.
Once you arrived we start an intake where i ask you questions to get to know more about your desires, boundaries, physical health, and past or present trauma to have a clean space to start the session from.

No. You don’t need any previous experience with rope. Sessions can be approached at your own pace, and we will establish what feels appropriate for you before and during the session.

This work is not presented as a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. It is a form of embodied personal development, combining conversation, body awareness, movement, rope and other practices according to what is appropriate for the session.

The body can respond in ways we don’t always anticipate. There is space to notice what arises without needing to force, analyse or continue. You remain involved in deciding what happens next, and we can slow down, pause or stop whenever needed.

Consent is an ongoing part of the work, not something established only at the beginning. We talk about boundaries and expectations beforehand, and you can change your mind, pause or stop at any point.

As the body is wrapped, supported and held, something can begin to shift.

Some things to know

These sessions allow time to arrive, settle in and explore at your own pace. Plan for 2 to 2.5 hours, with occasional flexibility to stay a little longer by mutual agreement.

We leave room to connect before the bodywork begins and to rest, reflect and bring the session to a close afterwards.

Sessions and pricing

I offer individual sessions and ongoing work. A single session can offer a meaningful experience. My preference is to work together over time, building the familiarity and trust that can support deeper exploration. Returning gives us space to notice patterns, revisit what matters to you and learn from how each experience unfolds.

Shibari session: €250
Approximately 2.5 hours.

The fee includes our initial conversation and intake, preparation of the space, the session itself, and time afterwards to reflect on the experience and settle before leaving.

We can begin with a conversation. There is no commitment required. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, talk about what you’re looking for and see whether working together feels right for you.
